Banner Desert Medical Center (BDMC) is a 669-bed[1] non-profit, tertiary, research and academic medical center located in Mesa, Arizona, servicing Phoenix, Mesa and the Central Arizona area. Banner Desert Medical Center is one of the region’s only university-level academic medical center. The hospital is owned by the Banner Health Health System and the one of the largest hospitals in the system. Banner Desert Medical Center is also a ACS designated level II trauma center and has a helipad to handle medevac patients. Attached to the medical center is the Cardon Children's Medical Center that treats infants, children, adolescents, and young adults up to the age of 21.
