Anusch Yazdani

Dr Yazdani is a medical graduate of the University of Queensland and completed his Obstetrics and Gynaecology training in Brisbane. Following a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at the Centre for Advanced Reproductive Endosurgery, Sydney, he commenced practice in Brisbane in 2002. In 2006, he completed further subspecialist training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. This unique combination of formal training and experience qualifies Dr Yazdani as a tertiary specialist, accredited in level 6 minimally invasive surgery (the highest level recognized by the RANZCOG), reproductive endocrinology and infertility.

Dr Yazdani co-founded the Queensland Institute of Minimally Invasive Surgery (QIMIS [1]), a not-for-profit organisation that conducts basic and advanced courses in pelvic surgery. In 2006, QIMIS successfully conducted the first formal 12 month course for all Queensland senior registrars in collaboration with the RANZCOG and the Queensland Skills Development Centre.

Dr Yazdani is a Staff Specialist at the Mater Hospital, a Visiting Medical Officer to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, a Senior Lecturer to the University of Queensland and a Director of the Australian Gynaecological Endoscopy Society (AGES [2]).

He is in public and private practice in Brisbane, with a special interest in endometriosis, pelvic pain, fertility and medical education.
