From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Armoire Style is a women's clothing rental service that uses a monthly subscription model.[1] Founded by Ambika Singh in 2016 while she was attending MIT Sloan School of Business,[2] Armoire started as an exclusively online service. In June 2019, the company opened its first retail location in the Pioneer Square area of Seattle, as well as its second location in Kirkland in October 2019.[3] Branded as a "wardrobe as a service", Armoire uses machine-learning algorithms to generate custom closet recommendations for members. By matching user's preferences to the preferences of similar users, members are offered a curated selection of items to rent, in addition to the help of stylist.

Armoire Style is one of several companies renting women's clothing; competitors include Rent the Runway, Le Tote, The Ms. Collection, Gwynnie Bee and Armarium.
