Pranav Shankar (Architect, Designer & Musician) born 15 February 1997), also referred to as Ar.PS, is an Architect, Designer, Carnatic Musician and singer. Being a young and inspirational Architect, he has created an Iconic Entrance Gate Structure - The Elephant Gate - for the Institution of Engineers Aurangabad which has been inaugurated in September 2021 and proves to be a game changing new Architectural Icon for the city of Aurangabad.
Pranav Shankar, is a disciple of Guru Smt. Mala Shankar who is the disciple of ‘Sangeetha Kalanidhi’ Shri D.K. Jayaraman, ‘Sangeetha Kalarathna’ Shri R.K. Srikantan and Needaamangalam Shri Muthu Krishna Iyer for ‘Oothukkadu Sri Venkata Subbaiyer Krithis’. With mother as guru, he had the advantage of listening and learning Carnatic classical music right from his childhood. He has participated in various categories of the annual music competitions conducted by several prestigious sabhas and organizations and has been a consecutive prize winner for many years. Pranav is a versatile singer who also sings various other genres of music. He was awarded the ‘Best Vocalist’ in Carnatic category at the popular – ‘Firodiya Karandak’ event held in 2019 in Pune. Pranav has also performed with his guru Smt. Mala Shankar in numerous concerts under the auspices of many renowned sabhas and organizations.
