Arijit Dev (stage name dev@rijit, Dev Arijit) is an Indian vocalist, musician, music producer and music programmer, but mostly known as a playback singer. As a playback singer, he debuted in 2016 in Bengali music industry followed by several other Bengali movies. In 2017, his first Bollywood Playback song was released in Anurag Kashyap’s Mukkabaaz along with the composer Rachita Arora. Dev predominantly being an Indian classical musician tends to collaborate with the musicians of different genre and will be continuing this effort to come up with the nuances of experimental musical experiences.

Early life Edit Dev was born on 30th June 1990 in Berhampore, West Bengal in India, where he has spent his entire childhood and youth. After 10th standard, he was trained rigorously in Indian classical vocal under his first Guru Shri Nihar Ranjan Laha and later continued learning music under Guru Shi Goutam Bhattacharya. Apart from his keen interest in Indian classical music, he always nurtures the passion of playing the guitar, which eventually led him to co-found a Bengali rock band named eScRa in 2006 at his early high school days.

Career Edit In the year 2013, he moved to Mumbai to start producing music for Bollywood. Coming from his hometown to begin a new journey, he settled in the big city to assist celebrated music director Pritam. After working successfully with Pritam, he had started assisting Arijit Singh, one of the greatest voices of contemporary Indian music industry. Meanwhile, he came in limelight with his first playback in Tollywood with famous music director Indradeep Dasgupta. Currently, he is a band member of Arijit Singh band and focusing mainly on his playback career.
