M. Arun Prakash (born 05 February 1989)at Thiruthangal in Virudhunagar District, Tamil Nadu, India. He is an Indian documentary filmmaker known for his socio-political, Humanity and human rights-oriented films. Some of his films explore the rise of religious fundamentalism, sectarianism and casteism in India, while others investigate Tribals and unsustainable development. Notable films include : My Note.. My Pencil...(2013), Windmill(2014), Medai (2015) , Kaanthal Tamil Documentary(2016) , Village Hero - Documentary Film(2018) and Upcoming Salem Sooriyur Documentary which have won many awards. A secular rationalist, also M. Arun Prakash is a vocal critic of Socil Cast systems
