Background[edit]
The tallest building in East Africa is currently under construction in Nairobi, Kenya. Standing at 184m, it will undoubtedly change the skyline of the city. The trade center, based in the Westlands area of Nairobi, will host 6 towers, four of which will be apartments. The business complex is one of the flagship projects in Kenyas’ vision 2030 program.

The modernistic complex is to be designed in an avant-grade architectural style reflecting its wholesome design concept.
Tallest Buildings In Nairobi[edit]
The skyline of Nairobi, Kenyas’ capital city has changed drastically in the last 20 years. This is largely due the increase of skyscrapers in the city. As with any developing city center, growth is indicated by the kind of buildings a city has. The genesis of skyscrapers in Nairobi began in the late 1960 and has not ceased since.
Currently, 5 of the tallest , complete, skyscrapers are Britam Tower (195m) with 32 useable floors, UAP Tower (163m) with 33 floors, Times Tower (140m) with 38 floors, Prism Tower (133m) 29 storeys’ and Le Mac (126m) 24 floors.
Skyscrapers that are currently under construction include, but are not limited to, The Pinnacle Tower I (314m) 70 floors, The Pinnacle Tower II (214m) 46 floors, Global Trade Center –Office (184m) 42 floors, Montave Southern Tower (160m) 40 floors and Montave Northern Tower (160m) 25 floors.
