From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Colt family is the name given to a family by the Children's Court of New South Wales to a family that practiced generational incest across four generations.[1] [2] In 2013 the records of the proceedings were unsealed to spotlight this type of goings on.

Background[edit]

On 18 July 2012, 12 children were removed by Community Services from the extended Colt family, a group comprised of some 40 adults and children living communally under inadequate conditions on a farm at Boorowa, near Yass. Subsequently, the children revealed unrestricted sexual abuse of children by each other and by adults. The children were later revealed by genetic testing to be closely related to an uncommon degree.
