Gordon K Seagrove (1890-1963) was an advertising copy writer and executive. Born in Spring Lake, Michigan; died in Yonkers, New York.[1]

Also known as Sad Seagrove, he is credited with coining the two phrases "Always a bridesmaid never a bride" and "Your best friend won't tell you."[2]

He was a co-worker of Adela Rogers St. Johns and friend of James Hugh Richardson.[3]
