Vic Siebert (1926-2012) was a Canadian musician.
He was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta and spent his childhood working on the family farm. He started as a singing DJ on CFCN Radio in Calgary. In 1948, he formed a band called “The Sons of the Saddle” with 3 siblings, and his wife Rae. The band went on to tour Western Canada for several years until relocating to Winnipeg to start a weekly music variety show called “Saddle Songs” on CBWT Channel 4. The television show ran for four years before the band relocated to Toronto in 1960. The band continued touring, putting out nine albums until disbanding in 1972. Vic and his family soon relocated to Sarnia, Ontario, where he worked for the school board until retiring in 1992.[1]
