William Dawson (b. Mar 30 1773, Garforth - d. 3 July 1841, Leeds) was a Methodist preacher, known as the 'Yorkshire Farmer'.

Early life[edit]

His father was colliery agent for Sir Thomas Gascoigne, 8th Baronet for 21 years.[1]

Death[edit]

He died at a friends house near Leeds in 1841.[2]
