Shimla Muthuchozhan is an Indian advocate and politician associated with the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party. She is known for her work in social justice and community welfare.

Early Life[edit]
Shimla Muthuchozhan was born on May 6, 1981, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She grew up in Royapuram, Chennai, and attended St. Ursula’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School (Church Park Convent). Later, she pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Prof. Dhanapalan College for Women in Kelambakkam.
Career[edit]
After marrying Late. S.P.S. Muthu Chozhan, son of former Minister Late. S.P. Sarguna Pandian, in 2002, Shimla pursued a career in law. She graduated from Rajiv Gandhi Law College in Bangalore in 2009 and became an advocate enrolled with the Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Bar Association. Shimla Muthuchozhan is the founder of the Manimekalai Amity for Social Services (MASS), an organization providing free legal and medical assistance to underserved communities. In addition to her advocacy work, Shimla has been involved in politics. She has held advisory roles within the DMK party and served as an advocate and advisor to the Tamil Nadu Women's Commission. In 2016, she contested the Tamil Nadu Assembly Election as a DMK candidate in the Radhakrishnan Nagar[1] Constituency.

Shimla Muthuchozhan is married to Late. S.P.S. Muthu Chozhan, with whom she has a son named Aadhavan Nexon. Her family background includes notable figures such as her grandfather, Late. Nanjil Durai, and her mother-in-law, former Minister S.P. Sarguna Pandian.[2]

Shimla Muthuchozhan has received recognition for her contributions to social welfare and political activism. She continues to be active in both fields, working towards the betterment of society.
