Matthew Stubbings (born October 20, 1999) is a Papua New Guinea tennis player. In the 2015 Pacifc Games he played singles but got knocked out in the third round by Aymeric Mara 6-1 0-6 6-4. In the mixed doubles he got silver with teammate Violet Apisah.[1][2] In the 2017 Pacific Mini Games he got bronze in men’s singles after beating Conway Beg 6 - 0 6 - 3.[3] In the 2019 Pacific Games he got silver in men’s singles, mixed doubles, and men’s teams.[4] In the 2022 Pacific Mini Games, he made it the the finals but lost to Colin Sinclair 6-0 6-1.[5] In the mixed doubles he made it to the finals with teammate Violet Apisah, and won 6-3 6-1 against Saoirse Breen and William O’Connell.[6] in the 2023 Pacific Games Men’s singles he made it to the semi finals and lost to Heremana Courte 6-1 6-2. He played for bronze and won 6-2 6-3 against Camden Camacho. In the mixed doubles he played with teammate Abigail Tere-Apisah and made it to the finals. They played again against Mehetia Boodisie and Antoine Vosin and won 6-3 6-0.[7][8]
