Kuwait Society for the Protection of Animals and Their Habitat ( K'S PATH) is an animal welfare organization that aims at helping people live peacefully among animals and the environment, their goal is to try to change hearts and minds by creating awareness about the quandary and predicament of animals’ treatment in Kuwait. K'S PATH has an animal shelter for dogs and cats, and a farm animals’ sanctuary, a Wild bird rehabilitation centre, a Baboon sanctuary. Moreover, through a Marine Conservation program they clean and care for ecologically important beaches along the Kuwait Bay and the islands. Since they strongly depend on the society’s assistance, they conduct special programs to recruit volunteers and get people involved and contribute by volunteering their time and donating. K’SPATH conducts several fundraising events to raise the awareness and to get assistance. K’SPATH also has an education program where they go to schools and present to students about the importance of caring for animals and protecting the environment. In addition to the school presentations, the project aimed to generate awareness among Kuwaiti K-12 students via a supplemental curriculum and resource materials. designed and developed to familiarize the students with Kuwait’s bio-diversity – indigenous species, extinct and endangered species, and the threat to species illegally traded in Kuwait about the ethical and humane treatment of animals and particularly their natural habitat.
