My recall criteria is fairly simple:

  1. If an ArbCOM case is ever accepted against me for any of my actions (admin or non-admin), I will step down.
  2. If an ANI case is ever brought against me, and a majority of participants in good standing believes I abused the tools or my position as admin or lost trust from the community, I will step down.
  3. If an uninvolved 'crat asks me to step down, I will do so.
  4. If an uninvolved user/admin with whom I have had a positive relation for an extended period asks me to step down due to an abuse of tools or my position. I will seriously consider stepping down.

I will not step down if the issue is civility or honest differences of opinion relative to policy/article.

None of this precludes my running for ADMINSHIP again.

NOTES about criteria 4:

  • Uninvolved crat/user would be a person with whom I have not had a run in/conflict with in the past month and neither have taken the other to an administrative user board or used an admin tool in six month against the other.
  • "Positive relation for extended period" would basically be a person whose name I recognize and have a favorable opinion of their commitment to wikipdia. This does not require that the user be an admin nor does it necessarily require the user to be "beyond reproach", but more that I believe their heart is in the right place when it comes to wikipedia. E.g. Malleus is a person with whom I get along, whom I trust, and who if he came to me and said, "You abused your trust." I would listen to him, because while he may have a history with ANI/ArbCOM, I do believe he has Wikipedias best interest in mind..
  • Seriously consider--- I originally had probably there. In all reality, if I believe you are sincere in the request and I trust your judgement, I probably would listen (I just wanted to give myself some wiggle room.)
