Christian Doroin (born February 9, 1985 in the Philippines) is best known as an inspirational teacher, leader and volunteer. Professionally, he is a writer, producer, director and when called for, actor. :)
Personal life[edit]
Christian "Tan Tan" Doroin was born in the Philippines, the youngest of his brood. He attended Ateneo de Manila University from elementary to college. He graduated from Ateneo High in 2003 and proceeded to finish his education at Ateneo de Manila University. He graduated in 2007 with a degree in Psychology.
University career[edit]
At the Ateneo, Tan Tan championed several causes, among them education and persons with disabilities. He began teaching with the nationally recognized and awarded Alay ni Ignacio, student arm of the equally lauded Pathways to Higher Education as an English teacher. When he was a junior, he was put in charge of the English literature department of which he was Chair for two successful years.
Post-university Career[edit]
Upon graduation, Tan Tan went on to work with Miriam High School as an English teacher where he worked for one year. He then went to work in various fields as a Trainer for several years. He also became an English tutor for Gawad Kalinga's eGKate program and an active volunteer for the Gawad Kalinga movement. He recently worked as the Senior Producer of OnMedia Creative Solutions, Inc., primarily in charge of the execution of content marketing videos and ads. He is currently a Producer / Director for TDWorks, Inc.
His short autobiography was featured in the Ateneo de Manila publication called Tru Blue Ateneo Stories, where he narrates his experience of being suspended for putting up a fundraiser concert for Special Olympics Philippines.
With volunteerism in his heart, he has become the National Sports Director for Special Olympics Philippines, where he has been a volunteer since 1999. As a director for Special Olympics Philippines, he has represented the country in multiple international sports events and facilitates training sessions for volunteers, special athletes, and parents.
As a part-time job, he also conducts workshops for women on life, love, and relationships. When he can, he also gives swimming lessons.
