Aky[edit]
Achille Pezzini (born July 14, 1998), known by the stage name Aky, is an Italian DJ and Electronic Music Producer currently. He honed his passion for electronic music by earning a diploma from the Academy of Contemporary Music in England in 2020, where he began his initial performances at the Thirty3Hz club in Guilford. Simultaneously, one of his notable compositions, "Amen," aired on BBC Radio 1.
In the same year, he released an important single, "Jungle Terror," featuring the Ragga Twins, a duo recognised for their previous collaboration with Skrillex.[1]
Seeking collaborations and new sounds in 2021, he founded his independent label, ANGVIS[2], where he not only publishes his own music but also creates a platform for international collaborations to produce and promote the music of young artists from his generation.
In parallel, he continued his DJ activities and was invited to perform at the annual Microsoft & Logitech[3] event, where he showcased his performing skills.
In 2022, he relocated to Los Angeles to further refine his technical skills and expand his musical knowledge, graduating from ICON Collective. Here, he initiated new collaborations, particularly with the emerging talent Micah Martin, celebrated for his previous work with Kayzo, Slander, and Dion Timmer, resulting in the release of the "Moving Forward" EP in 2022.
Continuing his production of experimental singles that explore new sounds, in the summer of 2023, he released the single "Lean N Bop" in collaboration with Yaw Faso, a Ghanaian singer residing in Melbourne. This Afrobeat dance sound achieved immediate success, featuring a captivating melody that captured the essence of summer and resonated deeply with the audience, gaining the approval of prominent editorial curators. "Lean N Bop"[4] showcases Aky's musical maturity as an artist and producer, highlighting his ability to navigate genre conflicts and his talent for selecting perfect collaborators to enhance his music and make it magical.
