Early life[edit]

Scarlette resided with her parents in Saddle River, NJ until her parents separation in 1996, when she moved to Scottsdale, Arizona with her mother. As a teenager Scarlette interviewed & photographed rock bands for a blog she created. [1]

Music Career[edit]

Samantha Scarlette released her first EP titled “Into The Darkness EP & Demos” in digital format June 28th 2011. All of the song on “Into The Darkness” were written by Samantha (music & lyrics) between October 2010 and March 2011. The EP which was produced by former Scary Kids Scaring Kids drummer Justin Salter, was comprised of 4 studio tracks recorded at The Saltmine Studio Oasis in Mesa, Arizona and 5 garage band recorded tracks.
Following a break up, Scarlette started writing new music in August 2013. After a nearly two year absence from music, in October 2013 she released a new stand alone single titled “Iron Maiden” which she recorded with John Gray at Jungle Studios, In Scottsdale. [2] She followed it up by with re-releasing "Fallen Star" (off of "Into The Darkness") as a free download single in February 2014, accompanied by a music video.[3] [3] [3]
In February of 2014, Scarlette got in touch with various producers regarding recording a new album. Scarlette decided to go with Finnish metal producer Hiili Hiilesmaa, as he had produced some of Scarlette's favorite albums (mainly by the band HIM).
Leading up to the recording of Samantha's next album (from March to July) she trained under former LaBelle singer Sarah Dash. Dash appears on background vocals two songs off of Scarlette's 2014 album "Violent Delights + Violent Ends" ("These Violent Delights" & "Epitaphs Of Love").
In July of 2014, Hiilesmaa flew to New York City (his first time back to the United States since recording HIM's Love Metal album in 2004), to record 5 tracks ("These Violent Delights", "Forgiven Sins", "Epitaphs Of Love", "Gothic Queens" and "Death Of A Dream") with Scarlette for her new album "Violent Delights + Violent Ends". [4] The tracks were recorded at Quad Studios in Times Square. In October of 2014, Scarlette went back into the studio to record another track titled "(Death Of A Dream) Reprise: Farewell" as a collaboration with Matt Deis (formerly of CKY and All That Remains). All the tracks for "Violent Delights + Violent Ends" (except for "Iron Maiden") were mastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound in New York.
