Names[edit]

French Empire mantel clock (1822) depicting the nereid Galatea velificans

This list is correlated from four sources: Homer's Iliad,[1] Hesiod's Theogony,[2] the Bibliotheca of Pseudo-Apollodorus[3] and the Fabulae of Hyginus.[4] Because of this, the total number of names goes beyond fifty.[5]
