WikiProject Grand Theft Jimbo was started on August 25, 2007 to coordinate efforts to make a Grand Theft Auto game starring Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales.

We are currently looking for people who are interested in this game; you may talk about it on the discussion page.

Plot[edit]

The story begins when Jimmy Wales got pissed off at the wave of vandals that are messing his user page. Disgruntled at the incidents, Jimbo vowed to seek revenge against the trolls, but this time, he had to take them down personally...

Characters[edit]

Jimmy Wales[edit]

Jimmy Wales is the main protagonist in the game. He founded the Wikimedia Foundation, and he founded the Arbcom Gang in response some relentless gangs of vandals who had been attacking his Wikimedia Foundation. His ultimate goal is to exterminate his rivals and rid the city of vandals. In his quest, he meets many allies, many girlfriends, and many enemies, and people from all demographics.

Mike Godwin[edit]

Mike Godwin is a member of the Arbcom Gang, a lawyer, and Jimmy's best friend. He helps get Jimmy out of any legal entanglements he gets into along the way. He's also Jimmy's adviser, and he warns Jimmy of any negative consequences of any of Jimmy's plans. He also keeps Jimmy out of trouble with the law along the way.

Andrew Schlafly[edit]

The leader of The Conservapedians

Trent Toulouse[edit]

The leader of The Rational-Wikians

Blake Gripling[edit]

(I'll leave this one for Blake to fill out)

Michael Harris[edit]

Michael Harris, known as NGGHS-NJROTC is a member of the Arbcom Gang who attends North Golden Gate High School and is also a member of the Naval Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corp. Harris is originally from Vice City and had moved to Golden Gate right after graduating middle school. He and Jimmy discover that a gang of students at one of the area schools are engaging in vandalism, and they decide to fight the gang. At first, they think that it is a group of girls at West Golden Gate High, but when they attack them, they learn that it is a gang at South Golden Gate High trying to make it look like the girls at WGGH are responsible. Michael Harris is known to have had two girlfriends during the course of the game. The gang is introduced to Harris' first girlfriend, when defending her against a vandal gang who was antagonizing her and attempting to rape her. Notably in her defense, he uses a knife to warn the vandals, and when one of them says "whoa, where did that thing come from?" he sarcastically replies "I got it at the supermarket Whistle-Dixie back home in Vice City." Later in the game, it is discovered that Harris has broken up with his first girlfriend (although they remain friends) and is dating another girl. Michael's first girlfriend is a cheerleader (which is a real surprise to Jimmy and his gang, as it is previously thought that Harris hates cheerleaders), and his second girlfriend is an honors student who volunteers in a library.

Phil Douglas[edit]

Phil Douglas is a member of the Arbcom gang and the executive chef at the Golden Gate Regional Medical Center kitchen. He becomes aware of the plans of some patients of the mental ward to escape and vandalize, and he attempts to derail them by poisoning the patients' food. Unfortunately, a health inspector sees the chef poisoning the food and Phil Douglas is fired, and the mental patients successfully escape and form the Mmbabies gang. Jimmy plans to get revenge against the health department and the hospital for Phil, but Phil convinces him that nothing good would come of it and he abandons the plans. Chef Phil is later hired by Sodexter, a food service contractor which services both ICA hospitals, Golden Gate University, and all of the local schools including the private Bullwood Academy (which only recently contracted with Sodexter).

Megan Hartz[edit]

Megan Hartz is a librarian whom helps write new articles at Wikipedia and also watches for vandals, inside the library and elsewhere

Trivia[edit]

  • Unlike other GTAs, there are children and functioning schools in Grand Theft Jimbo. However, if a child is harmed, the player instantly receives three wanted stars, and if a child or non-vandal teenager is killed, the player receives five wanted stars. Killing juvenile members of vandal gangs gives the player four wanted stars.
  • Most of the businesses are run by mobsters. Particularly, Infirmary Corporation of America is a huge corporation owned by a group of mob bosses, and legend has it they are not to be messed with. Although there are no wanted stars for creating carnage either of the ICA hospitals, alarms will go off and a team of FIB-like armed security guards will overwhelm any troublemakers with headshots; if a weapon is so much as pulled out inside the facilities, the person pulling out said weapon will be instantly killed with no chance of escape. There are no wanted stars because "ICA does not call the cops" (quote from the CEO).
  • Although the cities are not accessible in the game, people from nearby Shallow Ridge and Coconut Beach can be found wandering around in Golden Gate. Namely, students wearing school attire from Shallow Ridge High School (Falcons) and Coconut Beach High School (Indians), including band, football, soccer, basketball, and cheerleading uniforms can be seen roaming in Golden Gate, as well as city employees from the two cities.
  • Outside of the supermarkets, members of various groups, including high school bands, cheerleaders, Girl/Boy Scouts, and the Sanitation Army (based on the Salvation Army), will beg for money much like homeless people do in GTA IV.
