The Blessed Equestrian[edit]

Fabian Williams (born 5 February 2004), known professionally as The Blessed Equestrian or simply Blessed, is a St. Vincent-British Show Jumper and Eventer. Born in London and later moving to St Lucia before returning to the UK a few years later, he began his Showjumping career at 4. Beginning in 2022, he appeared on numerous shows, building an online profile bring awareness to the sport of horses but also promoting EDI (Equality, Diversity & Inclusivity).

Personal Life[edit]

Fabian Williams was born in Goodmayes, London; he moved to the St Lucia, in 2016 and was raised in Rodney Bay, northwestern coast of the island. He is a supporter of Manchester united. He is of Afro-Caribbean descent and speaks fluent Saint Lucian French Creole (Kwéyòl), which is colloquially referred to as Patois ("Patwa").

Career[edit]

The career of The Blessed Equestrian commenced in 2020 on Instagram, where he began sharing short inspirational clips, showcasing his extensive network, and displaying breathtaking images of his partnership between him and his horses. Alongside cultivating his online presence, The Blessed Equestrian actively engages in frontline community initiatives with MET Mounted Services.[1].

In 2022, Blessed made a notable appearance on the Snapchat show, "StevoTheDadMan Show," where he imparted his expertise in horse riding to social media personality StevoTheMadMan and his family[2]. During the show, The Blessed Equestrian discussed his profound passion for horses, his journey into the sport, the societal challenges encountered, and his ultimate ambition of competing in the Olympics. The episode garnered praise from audiences, who found it both inspirational and entertaining, expressing full support for The Blessed Equestrian's Olympic aspirations.

The Blessed Equestrian garnered widespread media attention in September 2022 when he took his ex-racehorse, Apple, to McDonald's to purchase 100 chicken nuggets, a moment captured in a humorous and viral video that amassed over 2.1 million views and was featured in numerous global newspapers, including The Mirror.[3] Additionally, he was featured on Inside Edition news in the USA[4].

In November 2022, The Blessed Equestrian visited a primary school in London, riding his horse, with the aim of fostering community cohesion through equine interaction[5]. This initiative continued in March 2023, as he conducted an educational talk on horses at another primary school in Croydon[6].

December 2023 marked the announcement of The Blessed Equestrian's participation in the 2024 London Marathon, alongside his starring role in JD Sports' Christmas Campaign[7] of the same year, depicted as the rider on the rearing horse. Subsequently, he attended the London International Horse Show, where he had the honor of meeting Prince Edward and his family[8]

In 2024, The Blessed Equestrian was featured on the Turtle Bay Restaurant platform[9], where they spotlighted his journey and experiences in horse riding. Fabian, having grown up in Inner London, utilized his passion for horses to create opportunities for himself on the path to the Olympics. He's also providing horse riding lessons to prominent personalities like James Argent[10], Gemma Collins and Anthony Yarde.
