I am at present accumulating and writing material for an upcoming book on the life and work of my grandfather, Rene' Paul Chambellan. Through the assistance of family members and new found friends (one from the Wikipedia community) I expect to have not only a book ready by next year but a complete web site that will act as a resource for any and all who wish to discover the work of this remarkable artist. If you have stumbled upon this page and wish to contribute information, photos or encouragement pelase do so. I will be very grateful as this is a monumental undertaking. My grandfather was a prolific sculptor and until I began this sojourn, I had no idea how prolific he actually was. Works that can be credited to him through his Art Deco sculptures and decorations on a wide range (and widely located) buildings throughout the United States is astounding. Add to this the numerous medals, awards and private sculptures he produced and you get the idea.
