Brian Mulholland is a lecturer of jazz history and music business at the University of Texas at Arlington. He was bassist for Maynard Ferguson and Big Bop Nouveau from late 2005 until Ferguson's death. Mulholland holds degrees from the University of South Carolina (B.M. Jazz, 2001) and the University of North Texas (M.M. Jazz, 2005). He released his debut album entitled Deco in 2005, which was part of the MF Presents Series in 2006..
