Connor Higgins (born 7/21/1996 in Orefield, PA) is a professional baseball pitcher currently playing for the Savannah Party Animals. He is known by his nickname "Big Butter" among fans and teammates.
Early Life and Education[edit]
Higgins was born and raised in Orefield, PA. He attended Parkland High School in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he showcased his baseball skills. Following his high school graduation, Higgins continued his education and baseball career at Arizona State University, where he graduated with a degree in Sports and Media Studies.[1]
Professional Career[edit]
In the 2018 MLB Draft, Higgins was selected in the 30th round with the 901st overall pick by the Los Angeles Angels.[2] He began his professional baseball journey in the Angels' minor league system, where he accounted for a 6-10 record and a 4.91 ERA.[3]
Savannah Party Animals[edit]
Higgins signed with the Bananas in 2023, joining their pitching rotation. After their 2023 season, Higgins announced he would be joining the Party Animals for their 2024 campaign.
