Early Life[edit]

Aly Daly grew up in Litchfield County, Connecticut. Her mother was a fine arts painter and her father was a jazz musician and orchestra conductor. She attended The University of the Arts, and became a professional ballerina with the Pennsylvania Ballet before deciding to pursue a life of design.[4]

Career[edit]

In 1993, Daly began doing visual merchandising and window display for a women’s couture clothing store in Philadelphia. Later, she became BCBG’s Director of Visual Merchandising,[5] which led her to focusing on high-end residential design. Daly completed a total redesign of the 30,000 square-foot estate of Max Azria and Lubov Azria. Her work on the Azria house gained recognition in Architectural Digest,[2] Elle Decor, Harper’s Bazaar [3] and more publications worldwide.

Daly has been designing residential and commercial environments worldwide for TV personalities, models, musicians, high-level executives and fashion designers such as Herve Leger, BCBG MAXAZRIA, Calvin Klein Inc., Gianni Versace, Perry Ellis and more for over 20 years.[4]

Interior Design[edit]

Daly was profiled in Design Bureau magazine’s special edition publication “Inspiring Interiors” featuring a “collection of the best interior design around the world.”[6][7] She also received the Best of Houzz Interior Design award in 2016.[8]

Daly completely re-imagined the former estate of Hollywood writer Sydney Sheldon, originally created by famed architect Paul Williams in the 1930s, and transformed the 30,000 square foot estate for fashion designers Max Azria and Lubov Azria, which is now called Le Maison de Soleil. The home boasts 17 bedrooms, 33 bathrooms, a 6,000 square foot movie theater.[1] The estate also features custom designs, such as a waterfall chandelier at the entry with 10,000 hand-strung crystals, a 14-carat gold ceiling, secret passageway and Moroccan-inspired spa room.[9]

Aside from residential designs, Daly also works on commercial property, including Marine Hader and Leran Hader’s gift and fashion boutique on Los Angeles’ high profile Abbot Kinney Boulevard, The Piece Collective.[10] Her other significant projects include The Remington Penthouse, Gardner, Ojai, The Wilshire, Lapeer, Longridge Estates, Teffaha Residence, Strada Corta and Blairwood Residence.[1]

Hardware Collection[edit]

In Spring 2019, Daly launched her signature hardware collection of bespoke, cabinet and door pulls, available in the Pacific Design Center at CEI Studio Inc. showroom in Los Angeles after receiving praise for her pieces from personal clientele. Daly currently has in development an eponymous luxury lifestyle brand of additional home decor items which exude the high-end design aesthetic her private clients have grown to expect.[11]

Personal Life[edit]

In 2009, Daly gave birth to son Evrsen with South African restaurateur William Edwards.
