It's way past time for this stuff. You can call Trump's statements lies or fabrications or even falsehoods if you insist on being delicate about it. But you can't call them questionable or controversial or salesmanlike or disputed or even faulty. The man is a serial, pathological liar. Isn't it about time for the journalistic community to work up the courage to report this with clear eyes?

Hyperbole at DT article

• I agree with others here; the elephant in the room is that many reliable sources have found Trump to be uniquely untruthful (even for a politician), and to be untruthful in unique ways (for instance, repeating the same falsehoods after they've been repeatedly discredited). Our site policies (including WP:BLP) say that we need to convey that, clearly and accurately, but for whatever reason we have a couple of editors who are extremely resistant to following where the sources lead in this particular case. This blizzard of overlapping RfC's, silly euphemisms, and bowdlerization is becoming disruptive and needs to stop; it has taken on the appearance of a lawyerly campaign of vexatious wiki-process and wiki-litigation aimed at obscuring, rather than improving, the article. • Never before has a president come with such a massive trail of behavior to analyze, in the form of 100,000-plus tweets, hundreds of hours of TV appearances, and a huge trove of journalism documenting his actions, decisions, and lies. He also continues to behave in ways that defy historical precedent for candidate, president and ex-president — for instance, intervening over and over in an investigation into his campaign’s ties to Russia and continuing to claim the 2020 election was stolen from him. Citizen Trump’s digital trail makes him as one of the most analyzable public figures in history.

• Trump has narcissistic tendencies, avoids acquiring expertise, is impatient, impetuous, and obsessed with winning, often lies, turns around on campaign promises, ran an extremely disorganized White House, and a remarkably questionable campaign to be re-elected in 2024. If Citizen Trump’s behavior is purely the result of his personality — and not a disease --- that’s still consequential. Psychologists generally feel personality is a stable trait. And that means someone's past behavior predicts their future behavior. What’s more, research finds ascending the ladder of power only magnifies your personality traits and makes you more likely to act in accordance with them. You don’t need a diagnosis to say Citizen Trump has a troubling pattern of behavior or to conclude that pattern is bound to continually repeat. The danger is real and predictable.
