User:CHAK 001/Monitoring Pages

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Most of the time, monitoring pages are part of my editing on Wikipedia. The following breaks down on what my philosophy is on Wikipedia, in terms of monitoring pages:

Editing Pages[edit]

Here on my page, watching pages are a commitment to learning most of the Wikipedia policies that I do abide by. Most users may be unfamiliar at first, but users do get the idea of where it comes from. For example, vandalism reverting applies via WP:VANDAL, whereas edit warring applies via WP:EW. Every article that I edit uses proper formatting, as I like to treat them like if it was a real encyclopedia.

Talk Pages[edit]

For talk pages, most users have different requirements. On my talk page, for example, I also like to encourage users to treat every talk page as if it was writing a letter, since I am given that Wikipedia is not a social networking site unlike Facebook or Twitter. This is one of the reasons why proper formatting is enforced on my talk page.

Note that this is a user's view of what Wikipedia is meant to be, and not a social networking site, blog, or anything else.
