Hello everyone! My name is Camille Dickerson and I am using Wikipedia as an assignment for my ethics class. For my project, I want to focus on the Ethics of Euthanasia. Aspects of the wikipedia page regarding euthanasia which I would like to include would be the topic of the way that different religions view assisted suicide. Some of the religions I would like to research in regard to euthanasia are Christianity, Judasiam, Buddhism, and Hinduism. While all of these religions show opposition to the topic of assisted suicide, they have different opinions on their reasons why.

Annotated Bibliography

Gielen, Doris, Stef Van Der Branden, Trudie Van Iersel, and Bert Broeckhaert. "The Diverse Influence of Religion and World View on Palliative-Care Nurses’ Attitudes towards Euthanasia." Academic Seach Premier. N.p., 3 Feb. 2011. Web. 10 Feb. 2015.

This article is extremely helpful because it is a study on the opinions of nurses in regard to euthanasia. This includes their religious standpoints, and how that effects their standpoint on assisted suicide. I am also attracted to this article because it was done in Belgium, and I am happy to have a foreign perspective in my study.

Moulton, Benjamin E., Terrence D. Hill, and Amy Burdette. "Religion and Trends in Euthanasia Attitudes among U.S. Adults, 1977–2004." Sociological Forum 21.2 (2006): 249-72. Web.

I found this useful in my research because it actually shows the religious affiliation of those who have used assisted suicide. This helps me to see how big the correlation is between religion and euthanasia.

Campbell, Courtney S. "Euthanasia and Relgion." Unesco Courier 53.1 (2000): 37-50. Academic Search Premier. Web.

In this article, I am able to learn about what each individual religion thinks about euthanasia. This article will be one of my primary sources of research, because I believe it goes the most in depth.
