Carl August Bünte ( *23.09.1925) , Conductor Biography: C.A.Bünte was born in Berlin. His father was a pianist and professor at the University of Music Berlin 1903-1938. He studies under Sergiu Celibidache at the International Music Institut Berlin from 1946-49. Bünte is married to Heidi, Attaché at the Austrian Embassy Berlin ( retired ). Career: He was already principal conductor of the Berlin Symphonic Orchestra at the age of twenty-four 1949-1973. He conducted 1000 concerts between 1949-2003. In the course of his international career, he has worked with twenty-five prominent orchestras in Europe ( also Berlin and Munich Philharmonics ), thirteen in Japan and tree in South Amerika ( also Buenos Aires National Orchestra ). He was Professor for conducting at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and professor for conducting at the Berlin University of Fine Arts 1986 - 1998.
