Tappy Toes Toddler Dance[1] Classes. Tappy Toes was created in 2002 by professional dancer, Claire Munday. The first classes took place in Watford[2] and Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire[3], before expanding to Bushey and Hemel Hempstead. It became a franchise in 2013 and classes can now be found as far as Dublin, Ireland. New classes are opening all the time, but currently occur in various locations and local nurseries across Essex, Hertfordshire, Gloucestershire and Hampshire.

Tappy Toes follows the EYFS Guidelines. The syllabus has been specially created for babies and children aged 6 months to 4 years. Classes work to improve posture, coordination, rhythm and musicality, motor skills, social skills, creativity, balance and confidence.

The class is a 30 minute session, including a warm-up, stretching exercises, songs with movement, travelling steps, dancing with props and stories set to movement. Props used include bells, hoops, pom-poms, dance ribbons, masks, glow balls, feathers, puppets, bubbles and more.
