The Narre Warren Football Club is an Australian rules football club which plays in the Outer East Football Netball League. The club previously played in the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League and South East Football Netball League, leaving the latter at the end of 2018. The club is based at the Kalora Park in Narre Warren, Victoria.

History[edit]

The Narre Warren Football Club was founded in 1953 and initially played in the South West Gippsland Football League. The Magpies joined the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League in 1995, and won six premierships in an eight-year period between 2006 and 2013. They were one of a number of clubs that left the MPNFL to form the South East Football Netball League in 2015. The SEFNL merged with the Yarra Ranges Football League to form the Outer East Football Netball League in 2019.

Club symbols[edit]

The club wears a white jumper with black stripes down the middle of the jumper, it replicates the Collingwood Football Club home and away jumpers from the AFL. The club logo is the same as Collingwoods' except it was the words Narre Warren Football Netball Club on the top and the bottom of the magpie.

Song[edit]

Narre Warren took inspiration from the Sydney Swans theme song having the same tune, but some lyrics seem to be different. At the end of the song, when they team sing in the clubrooms or on the ground, they add a verse on the end which has a few curse words.

Cheer, Cheer
The black and the white
The black and the white
Old Narre is right
Send a hearty cheer on high
take down old (opponent name) from the sky
Watching old Cranbourne loosing the game
Seeing old (opponent name) doing the same
All our loyal fans are marching
Onwards the premiership!
