Sandra McCoy was born in Laurinburg, NC. where she was also raised McColl, South Carolina. Her mother, Lorraine Sampson, worked Campbell Soup. Her father, Charles Sampson, worked for Glasses Factory. Her Sister, Tammie Goff is a manager in Maxton, North Carolina.

She is Deaf since she was 18 months old, she is the youngest mother of five children.
