TrainPal, is a British online travel comparison and booking website based in Edinburgh, UK.[1] And it mainly face to British and other European countries.[2]

TrainPal sells train, coach and flight tickets as well as providing free access to live train times, railway station and airport information through its website and mobile app which is available on the iOS and Android platforms.

TrainPal employs more than 10,000 people and is active in 47 countries in Europe.[5]

TrainPal was established in the February of 2018 by the Trip.com[6], In April of the same year, the service was launched in Italy[7] and operated by Italo and Trenitalia.[8][9] In July, TrainPal's parent company Trip.com obtained the Rail ticket agents in the British. In September, TrainPal partnered with Deutsche Bahn and entered the German market.[10] In November, TrainPal's UK business went live after internal testing on TripAdvisor.[11]

In 2020, it added flight service.

Dispute[edit]

In December 2023, Office of Road and Rail(ORR) said they found that 12 online booking platforms, including TrainPal, charge booking and/or finder's fees. ORR expressed that some retailers "are not as transparent as they need to be" over their fees.[12]
