Claimed award on STOPzilla's developer website[edit]

As of November 2013, STOPzilla's website, on its "about"-subpage, says "STOPzilla is developed by iS3"[1] and on the iS3 homepage they list awards, including "CNET Editors' choice Nov 2005"[2] using CNET's official copyrighted logo but do not link to a review at CNET as a way of confirming the award and in 2008 on their awards page (where they list 11 awards and link to reviews) they didn't list it.[3] Notably STOPzilla's about-page in today's version says:

Superior Branding
Our image is the key to our success

on one of its slideshow pictures.

CNET's "Retrieve Your Award Seal"-page says: "We encourage you to place our Editors' Choice seal on your site, linking to CNET's review of your product".[4]

On an archived CNET page, from November 30, 2005, a link saying "See all Editors' Choice winners"[5] leads you to many award categories and in the software category – the one that lists several security products for previous months[6] – has a November 2005 "CNET Editors' Choice" award for "Adobe Photoshop Elements 4"[7] (that award and others, including for a previous year, are still online on CNET's website in as of February 2015).
