The April 6-7, 2006 Tornado Outbreak is a developing major tornado outbreak in the Central United States that began on April 6, 2006 and is currently underway.

It is the third major outbreak of 2006, hot on the heels of a major outbreak on April 2.

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a high risk for severe weather for April 7. Conditions are favorable for an extremely strong tornado outbreak.

Activity was not as great as expected on April 6, with only 21 tornadoes reported, mostly in Kansas. Several were reported to have been damaging, but no fatalities and only a few injuries were reported.

The main area of concern on April 7 is across the South Central United States, from the Ohio Valley south to the Gulf of Mexico and from the lower Mississippi Valley to Georgia.
