Working on[edit]

What I mainly do on Wikipedia is create articles. I started with creating articles on Ecuadorian politicians and government ministers when I noticed they did not yet exist. My opinion is that that ministers are of such importance/notability that they merit Wikipedia pages. That pages on them (Ecuadorian ministers, but this goes for ministers of many countries) are still mostly lacking shows some of the geographical bias in the English Wikipedia. Since starting on those early articles in March 2013 I have mainly stuck to creating articles on politicians although I do venture into other areas.

I have created pages for:

I in the past I tried to keep the members of the House of Representatives (Netherlands) up to date, and create pages on new members. I also created pages and some times might still on recently deceased Dutch politians of either the House of Representatives, Senate, MEP, Ministers, etc. In the past I created pages on recently deceased Jordanian politicians, most are just stubs because information is hard to come by in English, but I see it as a way to counter the lack of information on Wikipedia about the topic. At times I create an article on someone who is listed in the Recent deaths.

Since 2015 I started writing pages on first the Spinoza Prize winners and subsequently members Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). As of early 2024 I have created over 169 of such articles. I am not even really interested in academics, I think I just liked that the notability of KNAW members is very clear per Wikipedia:Notability (academics). So if you feel you can improve on those articles, please do!

Otherwise I just like to read articles and make occassional fixes, mainly copy editing and adding categories. And as most of us probably do, I keep getting distracted by other interesting things on Wikipedia..
