Education[edit]

Graduate of the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Purdue Universiity, 1985; majored in aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, advanced studies in airship technologies, and history of technology - not that it matters, because people don't give a damn about credentials unless the person is a global warming fanatic with a PhD on a government grant.

Wikpedia Presence[edit]

Purpose for Joining[edit]

To pass on a career full of knowledge and benefit those who don't or haven't had ready access to the resources that have been at my disposal. Willingness to pose hypotheses, theories, facts, and relevant information with full references per the time-honored and accepted standards of scholarship. To do so and let the facts and acts of scholarship and references stand on their merits.

Result[edit]

Abject rejection, condescention, deletion, complete failure of editors to read before editing (shoot first, ask questions later), others editing for the purpose of "spin" to suit their weltanschauung (look it up), and generally getting ridden out of town on a rail, exclusion, and threats of deletion if I create pages that are perceived as "competition" despite their basis being information rejected as beyond the scope of defunct and/or poorly maintained work.

Purpose for Remaining[edit]

Knowledge and experience from the days when these sort of things were done by mail, phone, and facetime amongst professionals in the field shouldn't be trumped by young (or even old), inexperienced punks that think what they believe and some percieved "process" is more important than fact; people that need to learn the difference between a guy standing to defend facts and knowledge isn't a bad thing, and that their response to that is classic psychological projection - and especially because they can't even be bothered to read and consider before commenting or deleting like vandals to shout their view louder.

Other Reason for Remaining[edit]

Just how deep and preposterous does this bloody rabbit hole go?

Summary[edit]

This is not "Opinionpedia" people: Get scholarly or get out. I've been places and done things you should have the opportunity to learn from; and if you can't it should be available to those who study here.

(Sorry I had to play the resume card, but it used to be that counted for something - will goldfish attention span win? Stay tuned...)

Addendum for the Wikimedia Foundation[edit]

1. Your rules of conduct need to include information on the power of group behaviour acting to unnecessarily to exclude the unfamiliar yet provable.[2][3][4]

B.[5] Seriously? Your editors run me out of town because I point out that hybrid airships could have been built all along for the last hundred and twenty or more years, and nobody succeeded building something better than a blimp? Because physics and economics say so? And your process won't let that be part of the discussion? And people get rude like you're questioning their religion? And get away with it? Hmmmm... Might want to fix that...
