The template {{update after}} is useful for things that need to be updated after a certain date. To use it, put {{update after|year|month|day}}. Once the date specified in the parameters has been reached, [needs update] will show up. The template will place the page in the categoryCategory:Wikipedia articles in need of updating. You don't need to fill in all of the date parameters. For example, you can just fill in the year parameter, or just the year and month parameter.

Another helpful template is {{show by date}}. Its parameters are{{show by date|year|month|day|text before|text after}}. For example, if a celebrity is getting married on 25 November 2010, then you could put the following in his personal life section: {{show by date|2010|11|25|Smith and Jones will be married on 25 November|Smith and Jones were married on 25 November 2010}}.

If you want to get the time since a certain date or figure out something like how long 6 weeks is from today, you can probably usemagic words in conjunction with the template{{date}}. I could probably puzzle that out, but I'm a bit tired right now.

I hope this helps!
