List of Finals[edit]

World Indoor Championships[edit]

The World Indoor Championships is the premier event on the World Bowls Tour (WBT) and in the sport of indoor bowls. Four different events are held; Men's Singles, Ladies Singles, Open Pairs and Mixed Pairs. The Open Pairs event was a men's only event until 2012. Now an Open Pairs event, it allows women to compete. It should not be confused with the Mixed Pairs event, although mixed pairings are eligible to enter the Open Pairs event.

UK International Open[edit]

The event was rebranded the Bupa Care Homes Open in 1997.[1] The tournament was originally cancelled in 2008 when the BBC pulled the plug on it's coverage of the event.[2][3][4]. It was announced the UK International Open would return in 2013 as a direct replacement for the Welsh Grand Prix, which suffered a similar fate as the UK International Open did in 2008, this time at the hands of BBC Wales in 2012.[2][3][4] When the UK International Open returned it replaced the vacant slot left by the Welsh Grand Prix as the last World Bowls Tour (WBT) ranking event of the season.[4] It was originally the first WBT ranking event of the season before it was cancelled in 2008.[5] The UK International Open has been staged at the Blackpool Newton Hall Indoor Bowling Club in Blackpool, England since it returned in 2013.[2][3]
