Testing to place an extra [edit] link to the right of a h2 tag.

We should not use a "== ==" tag here since that causes double edit links on non-protected pages. (Well, if the [edit] link is placed exactly right and/or have a background colour it does cover the other edit link entirely.)

Template documentation

[edit]

This documentation is transcluded from Template:Test/doc. (edit | history)

This is {{test}} or David's test template.

At the top of this box there is a NOTOC magic word. That prevents the table of content from showing up above the h2 based "Template documentation" header. Instead if one wants a table of content one has to manually add a TOC tag in the right place to override the NOTOC, as I have done below.

But the NOTOC may only be added by this template when in template space, since when a /doc page is shown on for instance a "Wikipedia:" page there are usually more sections above and below, and a table of content at the page top. But sometimes people create templates in other namespaces and, then a NOTOC is needed. But there is no way to auto detect when the NOTOC is needed...

So the NOTOC problem seems not solvable.
