Deb Richardson

Deb grew up and started her career playing club volleyball in Minneapolis, MN. After club ball she played volleyball at University of Alaska-Anchorage. She started her professional career playing for Major League Volleyball, a pro indoor league for the Minnesota Monarchs and Chicago Breeze that lasted 3 years. After her indoor career, she made her way to the beaches of California where she played 10 years on the Women’s Professional Volleyball Association (WPVA). In 1991, placed 2nd in the World Championships with Jackie Silva, as well as a 2nd place in Chile and 3rd place in the World Championships in Rio de Janeiro with Karolyn Kirby. Earning honors in 1994 as the Coors Light top server and best blocker. In 1996, Deb and her partner Gail Castro earned the last spot on the 1996 Olympic beach volleyball team where they placed 9th in the world. This was the 100th Olympiad and the first year for beach volleyball in the Olympics.
