RESET is a production company specializing in high end commercials and bespoke long form content. David Fincher and David Morrison cofounded and launched RESET in September of 2012. RESET has a reciprocal transatlantic partnership with Academy Films.

The company currently represents Garth Davis, Andrew Douglas, David Fincher, Johnny Green, Johnny Hardstaff, Adam Hashemi, Tomas Jonsgarden, Joseph Kosinski, Vesa Manninen, Tim Miller, Nabil, PES, Wally Pfister, Johan Renck, Guy Ritchie, Andre Stringer,Twin, Markus Walter, Martin Werner.

Jeff McDougall is an Executive Producer.

David Morrison[edit]

David Morrison was born in New York City, raised in London and on the East Coast. The son of an American Corporate lawyer working in London and a school teacher, he is the eldest of six children. As a child, he attended St Anne’s school in NYC and Hill House School in London. His High School education followed at the prestigious prep school, Choate Rosemary Hall. He graduated from NYU with a degree in Political Science and Economics. He began his work career as a receptionist for a commercial directors’ sales rep firm. Within 6 months he became a sales rep for PIXAR, Epoch films, Colossal pictures, Palomar pictures and Tony Kaye films.

In 1995 after many offers to join Propaganda/Satellite Films Commercial division, he became the co-head of the Division. He began working very closely with director/owner David Fincher and launched and developed the commercials careers of directors like Gore Verbinski, Dante Ariola, Michael Bay, and Alex Proyas, to name a few. In the next 5 years he was instrumental in winning the prestigious Palme D’Or medal at the Cannes Advertising Festival twice and for billing over $80 million a year in his division alone.

In 1999 Polygram sold Propaganda Films, to the highest bidder, a pension fund from Philadelphia, seeking to get into the entertainment business. With the encouragement of David Fincher and the promise of ownership, David started a new venture with Fincher and Steve Golin, Anonymous Content. At Anonymous Content he continued to work with many of the Propaganda directors, spearheaded, developed and created, with Fincher, the much vaunted BMW films series, and also enlisted directors such as Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, Guy Ritchie, Wong Kar Wei, Ang Lee, Joseph Kosinski and Alfonso Cuaron. David twice won the coveted Palme D'Or in Cannes for best production company.

Eighteen months after Propaganda’s new owners took over, the company went bankrupt. At Anonymous Content, David was solely responsible for billing over a half a billion dollars in the first 11 years of operation. A company that began in his living room prior to June 2011 had over 150 employees, billed over $80 million a year in advertising sales alone and was a worldwide brand. In addition to winning every major global advertising award, David is the most awarded Executive Producer at the annual AICP/MOMA show, and for several years has been the top supplier to clients like Apple and Nike, and agencies such as BBDO/NY and Weiden Kennedy worldwide. His final job with Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu was the mother campaign for P&G which won Cannes, and Emmy and won Alejandro the DGA award in Dec of 2012. In August of 2011 David severed his relationship with Steve Golin, and Co founded RESET with David Fincher In the summer of 2012. With a website that Launched in September of 2012, http://www.resetcontent.com, RESET now represents a roster of directors that includes: David Fincher, Jonathan Glazer, Guy Ritchie, Andre Stringer, Andrew Douglas, Nabil, Johnny Green, PES, Romain Gavras, Vesa Maninninen, Garth Davis, Tim Miller, Johan Renck and Markus Walter. In the UK RESET is exclusively with Academy films, Glazer’s company. In France RESET is exclusive to ____. In the first three months after launching, RESET made commercials for the HALO launch, the Call of Duty launch, and the the H & M david Beckham campaign. By mid February of 2013 Reset had also shot campaigns for Under Armour, JC Penney, Christian Dior, Firestone, Samsung, Nike, Bud Platinum and Justin Timberlake and Jay Z’s “Suit and Tie” video, directed by David Fincher.

In March of 2012 David Morrison was the Executive Producer on “Oblivion”, directed by Joseph Kosinski and starring Tom Cruise. That film is being released in April of 2013.

David Fincher[edit]

Fincher was employed at Korty Films as a production assistant. He moved up the ranks and became a visual-effects producer. In 1983 Fincher was hired by Industrial Light & Magic, he was an assistant cameraman and matte photographer and worked on Return of the Jedi and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. In 1984, he left ILM to direct a commercial for the American Cancer Society that shows a fetus smoking a cigarette. This quickly brought Fincher to the attention of producers in Los Angeles. Set on a directing career, Fincher joined video-production company Propaganda Films and started off directing music videos and commercials. Morrison and Fincher have worked together for nearly two decades, and in 1999 co-founded Anonymous with founder/CEO Steve Golin and director Gore Verbinski. In 2012 Fincher and Morrison launched Reset. Over his extensive commercials career, Fincher has directed spots for BMW, GAP, Nike, Calvin Klein, Heineken, Adidas, Levi's, Converse, Pepsi, Revlon, Sony, Coca-Cola, and Chanel.
