Athletics in New Zealand is outside the top 15 sports by participation.

Affilations[edit]

The governing body of Athletics in New Zealand is Athletics New Zealand affiliated to Oceani federation, the Oceania Athletic Association (OAA), international federation, the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and New Zealand Olympic Committee (NZOC), which in turn is a member of International Olympic Committee (IOC).
