Prabhakar Aatmaram Padhye (4 January 1909 - 22 March 1984) was an Indian journalist and writer predominantly publishing in Marathi language. He was the editor of various newspapers and periodicals like Chitra (1936-38), Dhanurdhari (1938-46) and Navshakti (1943-53). In 1982, he was presented with Marathi Sahitya Akademi award for his criticism work titled Saundaryanubhav about aesthetics (i.e. mr:सौंदर्यशास्त्र in Marathi).[1] He also served as Secretary of Congress for Cultural Freedom's office for Asian Affair which was then located in Delhi. Here, he would be responsible for distribution of CCF's literature and organize various events and conferences.[2] Along with Agyeya, he was also associated with Asian Writers' Conference.[3]
In 1940, he was married to Kamal Padhye; who has also published her autobiography Bandha - Anubandha.[4]
