Dr Diana Wyndham is a historian and author who began her career as a librarian and set up libraries for architects and for the Family Planning Association of NSW. Diana, with fellow FPA Board member Stefania Siedlecky, wrote 'Populate and Perish: Australian Women’s fight for Birth Control', which was published in 1990 [1]. Diana was also Head of Research and Information at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School. She has a Masters Degree of Librarianship[2], and a PhD in history [3]. Both her book [4] and her thesis featured Dr Norman Haire, a pioneer in the fields of birth control and sexology. After winning a Norman Haire Fellowship from the University of Sydney’s Faculty of Medicine, her biography, 'Norman Haire and the Study of Sex', with a foreword by Michael Kirby, AC, CMG, was published by Sydney University Press in 2012 [5]. She spoke on ABC Radio National Late Night Live with Phillip Adams on 7 February 2013. [6]. Diana was the featured author on 26 February 2013 at Writers@Stanton Library, North Sydney, which showcases local and international authors. She also gave a history of medicine lecture at the Q Station, Manly on Sunday 30 June 2013.
