Digital First Digital first is a term reflecting the philosophy in digital transformation of placing digital ahead of traditional methods of marketing, retail and supply chain. Examples include Amazon, AirBnB and Uber, but it is distinct from Born digital as it reflects operational priority rather than origins. Thus an existing company cannot transform from a traditional background to a born digital background, but it can become digital first.
