Mile 16, also known as Bolifamba and Bolifamba Mile 16,[1][2][3] is a locality in the Buea Municipality of the Fako Division, South West Region of Cameroon.[4][5][6] Mile 16 location refers to Highway 8, the first 17 miles of which were tarred in 1952.[7] The Mile 17 Motor Park is considered the gateway to the region. The University of Buea is also nearby.[8][9] Originally a separate village, the area has undergone urban sprawl in the 2000s, yet supports peri-urban agriculture.[10] In 2003, the population was approximately 7,000[11] and in 2019 was approxiamately 8,000.[4]

Bolifamba Mile 16 is a chiefdom in the Buea council area.[12][13] Its chief was kidnapped in 2020.[14] Violence has led to destruction in area during unrest and conflicts stemming from the Anglophone Crisis, and threats English-speaking population.[15] Bolifamba lends it name to a species of frog, Hyperolius bolifambae, the Bolifamba reed frog.

Bolifamba can be described as a cosmopolitan village in Buea Subdivision. It is part of the gateway to Buea town from the nearby town of Mutengene. Bolifamba covers a vast area with a population of about 8205.
