Express Newark is a planned Cultural center university-community project in Newark, New Jersey. The project is being spearheaded by Rutgers-Newark and will occupy a portion of the former Hahne & Company department store in downtown Newark. The plan was first announced in October 2014.

In January 2013 it was announced that the Newark flagship store would be renovated with a "Whole Foods" on the ground floor and residential units above.^[1]^[2]^[3]^[4]
