Ernest "Ernie" Nicholas Provetti (born 16 March 1953) is an American businessman, notable for his stewardship of the Trincorp, notable for its Trinity electric motors for hobby use.
A fan of the NBA team Orlando Magic, he is also known for an incident known as "Big Baby shovegate" when his son was accidentally jostled over by Glen Davis
which attracted negative response from fans.

In Game Four of the 2009 Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Orlando Magic, Davis made two key shots, including a buzzer beater, in the final seconds of the game to give the Celtics the 95–94 win over the Magic. After the shot, Davis accidentally jostled Provetti's twelve-year-old son, Nicholas, while running down the court in celebration. The boy's father complained to NBA and Celtics officials, but later retracted his demand for an apology. Davis apologized nevertheless, and said that, "I'm a big guy. Imagine if my emotions are going so wild, and if I'm running by somebody, I don’t feel them. If I've hurt anybody or if I’ve done any harm to anybody, please forgive me because my intentions were harmless."[1]
