An M.B.A in Marketing and Ph.D. in Management Sciences, from Anna University Chennai, Dr. Thomas’s first professional degree is in Hotel Management. He has held senior positions in corporate marketing, with service sector hospitality companies for almost a decade and has been in post graduate management teaching and training for more than 7 years.

Some of his successful stints include Pepsico, Le Meridien, Park Inn hotels and K. Raheja Group of Hotels. An AMT in Services Marketing and UGC NET (Management)qualified teacher, he coordinates various foreign university academic programs,apart from his regular teaching assignments in Management and Marketing. He is also a visiting academic to Duquesne University, USA and his specialization areas include Management, Services Marketing, Rural Marketing & Consumer Behavior.

An author with Pearson/FT Press, USA, publisher of a couple of books in management and a publisher of articles in refereed International & National journals, he has royalty earning case studies in repositories of WDI Publishing, (UMICH), US and The Case Centre (ECCH), UK to his credit. Dr. Thomas is also a reviewer at Cornell Hospitality Quarterly (CQ, USA) and has been a consultant to Seiko Instruments Inc., Japan. He is empaneled as a visiting faculty/trainer/consultant for State Bank of Travancore (RSETI), Kerala Police (Janamytri), KITCO Limited (Startup business leadership) and various B-Schools. Having undergone trainings in case writing and teaching methods from IIMA, Harvard Business Publishing and UMICH,he is a proponent of teaching with cases, in management schools. He conducts management development programs and one of his popular MDPs is, in the area of Business and Social Protocol. His has taken flight instruction at Charlottesville flight center and was a member of Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, USA.
